This course is aimed primarily at hands on care staff, and covers issues around recognising and dealing with potential abuse. The course can be tailored for either residential care or domiciliary and community services. Whilst set in the current legislative context, the course is intended to be practical and participative rather than lecture style and theory heavy.
The course gives staff the skills needed to recognise potential different types of abuse in the working environment, and the knowledge and confidence to deal with situations in which abuse may be suspected. The course is certificated to meet CQC requirements.
